    Back in 2006, Alex and Melissa were just two single twenty-somethings’ living it up in the ultimate college town, Tallahassee. They ran in similar social circles, running into one another at local events. Even eleven years ago, Alex knew Melissa was something special, and reached out to her via Facebook. Though life kept them on different yet parallel paths, it was only a matter of time before fate (and a little help from modern technology) would give Alex a chance to find Melissa again.

    On this day, Alex messaged Melissa once more. This time, Melissa had a feeling Alex was someone special as well, and did not hesitate to respond.

  • First Date

    May 16, 2017

    Two days after Alex and Melissa reconnected in cyberspace, they decided to meet for smoothies since Melissa does not drink coffee. What was meant to be a quick meet and greet turned into a near all night affair. They were the last to leave the smoothie shop and even spent an extra hour sitting outside just so they could continue to talk.

    August 2017

    In August, Melissa and Alex made their relationship "Facebook Official." Although it does not seem like much time has passed since Alex and Melissa met, their relationship is rich with experiences. They've celebrated birthdays, shared their first "I love you," taken an international (Royal Carribean asked for a passport, so it counts!) vacation, met each other's family, survived a hurricane, and even worse -- the "purging" (In Alex's words: get rid of like 3 blouses) of Melissa's closet to make room for his stuff.

  • Engagement!

    February 1, 2018

    On this day, Alex proposed to Melissa at Sage restaurant under the pretense of a company happy hour. Melissa almost called out sick to her own proposal but Alex managed to push panic aside and get her to agree to meet. Surrounded by friends, Alex asked Melissa to be his wife. In case you were wondering, she said yes.

    Before the proposal, Alex and Melissa planned a once in a lifetime trip to Paris, Greece, and London. When considering wedding options, there seemed no better plan but to make this trip one they would never forget, and elope in the city of love!
